Beautiful and educational! My family and I went on the guided snowshoeing tour w/ a young lady - very short hair (name?). She was awesome! We had a great time! Our kids (ages 9 and 7) loved the hike. We learned about all the unique trees-some make their own sunscreen on bark! It was magical in the snow. $47 per adult and $37 per child (includes all gear). *You have option to hike to ski village and eat. We did and it was relaxing after a long hike. You can shuttle back to your car at Nordic center.

WOWZERS! What an incredible 2 days of snow shoeing here! We rented our shoes at the Village instead of the Nordic Center up top. So, so convenient, as our room in the village was yards from the trailhead! Affordable, easy, good quality shoes that gave us confidence and no issues with functionality! We grabbed some poles as well. They allowed us to keep our shoes overnight, which was a game changer! We walked until closing day 1, and then began early morning on day 2. Awesome trail system, perfect snow conditions, plenty of signage or flags for following the trails, and some great exercise. Nothing better than walking and talking in quiet snow with your partner in the back woods. Well...maybe a picnic?! Perfect 2 days!

We had a wonderful experience with the Nordic center this past week. The first day we showed up not knowing what we wanted to do, and the staff helped us figure out a plan to do some snowshoeing, then the next day we came back and did some Nordic skiing both times we were very impressed with the staff and the quality of the trails.

We had such a great time for the Nordic Nights Event here! Every Saturday for the winter months, Solitude hosts this fun event where you can blaze the snow-filled trails with snowshoes and cute tea lights guiding the way. They have unlimited hot chocolate served by their trusty bartender (aka the hot chocolate machine) and it’s always refilled the staff. They also had s’mores that you could eat to your heart’s content. Dress warm! This event is at night and can get chilly. The staff here are fantastic and super nice. Would recommend for a fun night out!

It's a nice place to take people who may not downhill ski, to give them options to still try some winter sports (cross country skiing and snowshoeing). I've gone snowshoeing twice at the Nordic Center, had a great time both times. First time did a long hike on groomed trails during the day. The trails are well marked. Just remember, if your not doing a loop (out and back), turn around before you get tired. The 2nd time I went to the Nordic Center was for Night Snowshoeing. That was a lot of fun. We came here with a few friends and instead of doing an organized hike, we just went off on our own. There were plenty of artificial lights to keep us on the path and was easy to follow. The only draw back is that when the center gets busy, it can be a slow process to get your rental equipment due to limited staffing. When we did the night snowshoeing, they brought in extra staff which helped things move along. The staff is very friendly and supportive!

This is one of my favorite places in Utah! Every season is awesome. In the winter time if you go before the Nordic center is open you don't have to pay. I get the cost using the groomed trails but I think it is a little spend to walk around in snowshoes. Can't wait for the board walk to get done.

I recently visited the Solitude Nordic Center for the first time this year, and I couldn’t be more impressed. The staff was incredibly friendly, making the process of booking rentals and private lessons a breeze. I had the pleasure of taking a private lesson with Anya DiLorenzo, and she was outstanding. Her patience and clear explanations helped me grasp the fundamentals, boosting my confidence on the skis. As someone new to skiing, I initially felt nervous about cross-country skiing, but by the end of the lesson, I was eager to get back out there. I highly recommend the Nordic Center and suggest booking a private lesson with Anya—you won’t regret it!

Snowshoed here on 2/14 and the entire experience exceeded expectations. Parking does not follow the same reservation system as Solitude mountain so it’s just first come first serve. Ikon pass holders receive discount on snowshoe rentals so relatively inexpensive for the rental and trail access. The trails themselves were in great condition with lots of snow and clearly marked for easy navigation. Enjoyed treking down to Solitude mountain for refreshments and a little break. The Solitude and Redman trails definitely have elevation gains and are a great workout. Would definitely recommend and return next time I’m in the area.
